AMC 8 on 17 NOV 2015

Check out this math contest that I just found out about today!

Each year the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) sponsors the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC). And they have one scheduled for next week.

The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The contest is held in November every year.

Register here for the AMC 8 on Tuesday, 17 NOV 2015. The cost is $65.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Talent Show will be the last day of summer school on Friday, 24 July 2015.

The fifth graders in Group 11 are going to sing Hello Muddah Hello Faddah (A Letter from Camp Granada) by Allan Sherman.

I have attached a link to the lyrics below, and I have also put a link to a YouTube video with this song in student’s section of this blog. (Click on the “For Students” tab and you will see it.)

To improve our chances for success it would be helpful if you could help your child learn this song.
